Casting Light: Scripts for young adults from people living with a mental illness

Casting Light includes thirteen dynamic, challenging and engaging scripts for young adults with a unique feature - they are all based on the stories of people who live with mental illness, either personally, or through caring for a family member with mental illness.

The resource has been specifically designed for teachers looking to explore mental health issues in the classroom, but may be a useful resource for scriptwriters looking for examples of storylines or characters that explore mental illness.

Casting Light brings together three elements - the authentic voices of people who live with mental illness, the
script-writing talents, professionalism and experience of an educational playwright, and mental health promotion principles.
